A bit of history :
On the 18th, the 3rd, and the 7th line up at the starting line. The bodies of the jockeys are now one with their mounts. You can almost hear the sound of hooves and the breath of the horses. Made up of flat areas of color, Geoff McFetridge's drawings are evidently simple. The play of graphic echoes creates the illusion of suspended movement, between two gallops, suggesting that the winning forecast will be the date of the founding of the House. In the saddle since 1837...
