Tears of Apollo – V.1 reinterprets the iconic beauty of classical sculpture in a contemporary key, with an emotional intensity that surprises and moves. The face of Michelangelo's famous David is crossed by black tears, symbolizing silent and profound pain, while a bright blue luminous halo gives it an almost divine aura, blending the sacred and the profane.
The work questions the ideal of classical perfection, suggesting that even the gods can suffer — and that vulnerability is a form of beauty.

Technique and Creation

Printed on high-definition rigid PVC panel, the artwork is hand-finished and equipped with an integrated circular blue LED frame, which emphasizes the face of the statue with a uniform and penetrating glow effect. The lighting adds depth and expressive power, making the piece perfect for modern environments, industrial lofts, or spaces dedicated to contemporary art.
