Description from the seller
The Last Pianist – Artwork on canvas by Rudy Barret – Artist's copy 1/1 – XL
⸻
At the heart of a collapsed world, an astronaut sits in front of an abandoned piano.
Around him, the ruins, silence, and dust of time.
"The Last Pianist" depicts a striking contrast between the end of a world and the persistence of art.
Even when all seems lost, music persists — fragile, perhaps useless, but deeply human.
⸻

⸻
Words of the artist
I imagined this moment as both an unnecessary and an essential act at the same time.
When there is no one left to listen, playing becomes a gesture of survival.
This pianist is the guardian of a memory, that of emotion, even after the collapse.
⸻
Creative process
A cinematic composition blending photography, AI, and advanced digital retouching.
Working with Photoshop CC and Lightroom allowed us to sculpt the light, dust, and textures of the ruins to create a post-apocalyptic atmosphere imbued with poetry and melancholy.
