José Deparés was a 19th-century Catalan painter active in Barcelona, known for his participation in local fine arts exhibitions.

It is documented in the 1849 catalog of the Association of Friends of Fine Arts, where he presented a work titled 'Vase,' located at his residence on Stallers Street, No. 21, second floor. This mention confirms his status as a contemporary artist within the Barcelona circuit of the time.

At least one portrait in the collection of the Reial Acadèmia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi is attributed to him, with inscriptions that directly identify it. Its provenance links pieces to family legacies of other Catalan painters, such as Enric Monserdà, suggesting local artistic networks.
