Description from the seller
Pittacum La Prohibición is a red wine produced by Viñedos y Bodegas Pittacum in the Bierzo DO (Castilla y León, Spain).
It is made from Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet) grapes grown on old hillside vineyards with slate soils. The wine is traditionally fermented with long maceration and aged for about 24 months in French oak barrels.
The result is an intense, deep, and structured wine, showing aromas of ripe black fruit, aromatic herbs, spices, and mineral notes. On the palate, it is powerful yet balanced, with lively acidity and a long finish.
It represents the most distinctive and limited expression of Pittacum — an artisanal wine that combines the strength of Garnacha Tintorera with the elegance of Bierzo’s terroir.
