panels, black decorations. Frontispiece and illustrations unlisted but captioned and unsigned, with full-page illustrattions at pp. 104, 440, 656, 752 & 800.
2.-The History of Don Quixote de la Mancha. From the Spanish of Cervantes. With illustrations by Gustave Doré. New York: G. W. Carleton & Co., Publishers, 1876. [i-v], vi-viii, [1], 2-424 pp. Illustrated (Carleton’s Illustrated Edition). 19 x 14 cm. Green cloth with green lettering on gold spine panel and black decorations, recently rebound in black leather preserving original spine and front board cloths and new white endpapers. Identical to the Carleton edition of 1873, but on thicker paper; with no frontispiece. 11 Dore illustrations, unlisted and unsigned, captioned with page numbers.
