Description from the seller
6 bottles: 4 from 1971 and 2 from 1970
- Bordeaux type
- Fully intact, readable label
- Fully intact, wax capsule
- Bottle size: 0,75L
- Producer: AGE Bodegas Unidas, S.A.
- Wine history: A classic Rioja red wine produced by AGE Bodegas Unidas, from the 1970 vintage, a well-regarded year in the Rioja appellation. It was made in a traditional long-aging style, likely based on Tempranillo, with possible blends of Garnacha, Graciano, or Mazuelo, as was common at the time.
After more than five decades, well-preserved bottles show a highly evolved profile: brick to mahogany color, tertiary aromas such as leather, tobacco, old wood, spices, and dried nuts, with a delicate palate, retained acidity, and a fragile structure.
Today, it is valued mainly for its historical and collectible interest rather than for everyday drinking, with quality depending almost entirely on the bottle’s storage conditions.
- These bottles come from an old house, an underground warehouse with perfect storage conditions. Because of its age, we cannot guarantee the good condition of the wine, so it is logically destined for collecionism.
- Special packaging is included in shipping costs.
