Luxurious edition of 'Illuminations,' a collection of prose poems or free verse composed by Arthur Rimbaud (and, to an uncertain extent, Germain Nouveau) between 1872 and 1875, and published partially in 1886 and, in its entirety, posthumously, in 1895.
This edition consists of a facsimile reproduction of the manuscript (54 autographs reproduced from originals preserved and photographed by the National Library), alongside the printed version.
Also contains a frontispiece portrait after Carjat and a preface by Alain Gourdon.
Unique edition of 1,000 copies, all on Lana pure fiber vellum (no. 413).
Publisher's binding and case in full Bordeaux cloth, with the title and publisher's name in blind embossing. In perfect condition, like new.
