Emanule Cappello (1936)
Still life with a vase of flowers (Rose).
The painting, with delicate and subdued tones, is the work of the well-known Florentine painter Emanuele Cappello, a representative of the intimate and minimalist current of Italian still life between 1940 and 1950, whose major protagonists included Giorgio Morandi, Felice Carena, Carlo Carrà, and Filippo de Pisis.
Oil on canvas.
Signed on the front, at the top left.
The painting is sold with its frame, which is to be considered a gift from the seller.
Dimensions of the painting alone: 70 x 50 cm.
Dimensions with frame cm 92 x 72
On the back of the painting, there is the artist's signature.

Biography
Born in Vittoria (Ragusa) in 1936, Emanuele Cappello spent his artistic life in Tuscany. He attended the Institute of Art in Palermo and Florence, and later the 'La Grande Chaumière' Academy in Paris.
Thanks to his remarkable artistic talents, in 1951, he received a scholarship from Pope Pius XII to continue his artistic studies.
In 1966, the Italian government purchased one of its works for Palazzo Chigi.
His paintings are part of private and public collections in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, Kuwait, Israel, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Turkey, the United States, Japan, England, Argentina, Mexico, Greece, and Monaco.
For recognized artistic merits, he is a member and academic of: Tiberina Academy of Rome since 1964; Academy of the 500 for Arts, Letters, Sciences, and Culture since 1964; Free World International Academy since 1965; International Study and Exchange Center since 1965; Casa di Dante of Florence since 1966; Société Libre de Poésie of Paris since 1966; Union of the Golden Legion of Rome since 1967; Florence Union since 1967; Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts of Milan since 1970; Teatina Academy for Sciences of Pescara since 1973; Medicean Academy of Florence since 1984.
