Description from the seller
Original work by Orfeo Tamburi, created during the artist's French stay in Nantua, as evidenced by the handwritten notes on the front and back ('In room in Nantua, 1968').
The painting depicts a domestic interior with a figure and essential furnishings, a recurring theme in Tamburi's mature work. The brushwork is swift and synthetic, while the palette, delicate and luminous, alternates warm and azure tones, creating an intimate and suspended atmosphere, typical of his poetic style.
The work is signed and dated, an element that enhances its collectible interest. Tamburi is a widely recognized artist, featured in museums, public and private collections, and regularly discussed in major international auctions.
