E. Pérez Lezcano presents Planos de una presencia múltiple XL (No Reserve), an original acrylic painting in cubist style, multicolour with pink, green, black, blue and beige, created in 2025, measuring 85 by 95 cm, 0.6 kg, from Spain, hand-signed, in excellent condition, sold directly by the artist, with an authenticity certificate detailing the title, technique, dimensions and year.
Description from the seller
The work 'Planes of a Multiple Presence' presents itself as an exercise in pictorial construction where the figure ceases to be a unity to become a system. The body does not appear as a closed form but as a sum of planes that coexist, overlap, and tension among themselves, generating a fragmented yet profoundly active presence.
The work is conceived as a study and dialogue with the painting of Mario Carreño (1913–1999), especially with his way of articulating the human figure through a modern synthesis, inheriting from Cubism and Latin American muralism. Carreño's structural solidity, symbolic frontalism, and the use of color as a constructive rather than descriptive element are emphasized.
Here, each figure seems to occupy its own spatial field, but at the same time participates in a common composition. The chromatic planes do not seek volume or traditional depth, but rather aim to establish relationships: balance, opposition, contact. The line functions as a boundary and as a link, marking an internal architecture that supports the scene.
The multiplicity alluded to in the title is not only formal but also conceptual. Presence unfolds: it is body, it is gesture, it is space. The viewer does not face a closed narrative but a constellation of forms that suggest encounter, distance, and coexistence.
From a contemporary reading, the work transforms modern heritage into a current language, where fragmentation does not imply rupture but rather complexity. Levels of a multiple presence thus affirm a painting conscious of its tradition, but fully situated in the present.
