Description from the seller

Boch Frères Keralux Belgium – Vintage Lidded Ceramic Box

This elegant and richly detailed piece by Boch Frères Keralux (Belgium) is a fine example of mid-century European ceramic design. Decorated with deep burgundy roses, delicate white blossoms, and accented with lavish gold trim, it features ornate lion-paw feet, sculpted handles, and a striking snake-shaped loop handle on the lid — an unexpected and whimsical detail.

Originally designed as a tureen, this versatile piece can just as easily serve as a cookie jar, decorative storage box, or simply as a statement accent for your sideboard or shelf.

The ceramic body is in good vintage condition with beautiful crazing (a desirable sign of age in glazed pottery). Please note: the lid sits a little loosely, which is common for older ceramic pieces and does not affect its use. Some of the gilding has worn off with age, adding to its authentic patina and charm.

A visually striking collectible with plenty of character — perfect for lovers of vintage European ceramics.

Marking on the base:
“Keralux, Boch Frères, Belgium”
