Careful packaging and tracking
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration turned into a passion, which was destined to materialize.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the appropriation of contemporary mass-produced goods.
His creativity is expressed through the bold staging of icons of popular culture (such as McDonald's, Malabar, Chupa), which clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or Caviar) and street art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials.
He draws inspiration from, among others, Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, and from advertising and addictions in general.
Any potential defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work: it is an empty (gas recovery) fire extinguisher that may have visible aesthetic flaws through the paint. (It is, of course, forbidden to sell a full fire extinguisher whose standard labels or pin are missing).
