Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Glass mirror dating from the 1970s.
Description from the seller
Incredible 86 cm mirror after Alfons Mucha, Art Deco spring, in good condition, dating from 1977 as evidenced by the signature Aspell Saggers & Co -77, the latter indicating the year of edition.
The Czech artist Alfons Mucha is one of the founders of Art Nouveau, which is characterized by graceful lines, fresh pastel colors, and sumptuous patterns.
Art Nouveau was popular in the early 20th century and made Mucha a true star in Paris.
During the last world war, his work was forbidden by the Nazis for political reasons and was only exhibited again in Prague in 1967.
Here is a finely finished, colorful mirror that is in perfect condition and made originally as a tribute. Mirrors after Mucha have become rare and highly sought after according to the editions; here we have a stamped edition.
Still has its original label and the England stamp on the back.
Happy bidding to everyone
Like all my objects, a good cleaning is necessary to restore the panache they deserve.
