Rare and beautiful copy of this Japanese work tracing the history of Daimyo families, probably published around 1860.
Decorated with many vignettes in the text.
Japanese binding, with a title label glued to the front cover, in blue paper. In good condition, covers slightly worn, discreet foxing on the edges. Interior fresh and clean, some characters slightly faded. About ten pages with worn corners, not serious.

A daimyo (大名, daimyō?, literally 'great name') is a Japanese noble title. This term refers to the main provincial governors from the military class who ruled Japan under the orders of the shogun, from the Muromachi period (1336-1573) to the Edo period (1603-1868).
