The first edition, 1790, of Epigrammi by Carlo Roncalli, in Latin and Italian, bound in leather with gold tooling, 117 pages, 15 x 10 cm, published by Bodoni, in good condition.

Leather binding, gilt-ruled edges on the boards, a smooth spine with a plaque bearing the author and title, ornaments, all stamped in gold. 7 white leaves, title page with a portrait of the author engraved within an oval, 1 white leaf, 1 dedication leaf, 106 pages numbered including the first page with a line from La Fontaine in French and final indices, 1 white leaf. Text in Latin and Italian, in barbe. Carlo Roncalli after studies in Bologna moved to Paris where he met Rousseau, returning to Italy he composed between 1789 and 1795 four volumes of epigrams, partly his own and partly translated from French. Copy in good conservational condition, slight losses reintegrated at the spine.
