Glenfarclas is one of the few independent distilleries in Scotland. Founded in 1836 and owned by the Grant family since 1865. John Grant is the fifth generation to run Glenfarclas. Glenfarclas is also one of the few distilleries that have produced almost continuously since its founding. This explains the wide variety of bottlings available from this distillery.
