Description from the seller
The garden of the unspoken
Acrylic on canvas, 120 x 80 cm
Leandro Pérez Figueredo
The garden of the unsaid presents itself as a symbolic territory where identity, emotional memory, and intimate thought intertwine in a visually powerful narrative of great contemporary strength. Leandro Pérez Figueredo constructs here a deeply psychological image, in which the female figure emerges not only as a portrait but as a mental state and an inner landscape.
The face, rendered with remarkable technical precision and almost sculptural sensitivity, acts as an anchoring point for the viewer. The gaze, serene yet laden with latent tension, seems to hold what is left unspoken: suspended thoughts, contained desires, emotions that remain silent. The vibrant palette—dominated by organic greens, fiery reds, and golden hues—envelops the figure in an environment that oscillates between the vegetal and the dreamlike, suggesting a garden inhabited not by the body, but by the mind.
The dragonfly, subtly integrated as a symbolic element, reinforces the notion of transformation and fragility. It is a sign of transition, of the ephemeral and the essential, accompanying the character as a visual confidant. In the background, the veiled presence of a second face introduces a dual reading: the conscious and the hidden, what is shown and what remains protected in deeper layers of the self.
This work does not seek a single interpretation; on the contrary, it invites the viewer to project their own emotional experience within this symbolic garden. Its strong chromatic impact, combined with a carefully balanced composition, makes it a piece capable of transforming any space, adding character, depth, and a narrative that unfolds over time.
For the collector, The Garden of the Unspoken represents an opportunity to acquire a work of great visual presence and emotional resonance, signed by an artist who dialogues with contemporary languages without renouncing figuration or symbolic storytelling. It is a piece meant to be contemplated, inhabited, and rediscovered.
Note for collectors
Authenticity certificates will be sent along with the artworks only for sales exceeding 500 euros, ensuring documentary support and added value to the purchase.

Artist Statement
My work focuses on fantastic figuration, using portraiture as a vehicle to explore the human psyche and its archetypal narratives. My primary interest lies in the tension between intimate experience and universal symbolism: the female figure becomes the crucible where concepts such as conflict, sacrifice, desire, and memory are manifested.
My process is a visual thesis that merges realistic observation of faces with a graphic and organic stylization in the environment, inspired by Art Nouveau and the sinuous narrative of Pop Surrealism. I seek to shape what is not said but felt through the integration of symbolically and aesthetically striking organic elements, which act as direct metaphors for internal states and life processes.
My work dialogues with Surrealism and Magical Realism, aiming to demonstrate that the body is a map and the mind an ecosystem. Each painting is a consequence of consciousness, an effort to capture the constant duality (Youth/Time, Beauty/Death) that defines the human condition. Ultimately, my work is the visual chronicle of the search for where the soul rests, inviting reflection on our own essential complexity.
