A Japanese six-panel byōbu on a golden background depicting a pine tree with bamboo and blooming plum, signed and sealed Genzan, from the Showa period, measuring 382 cm wide by 173 cm high and 2 cm deep with a wooden frame, in good condition with minor signs of aging and including a Mastromauro gallery certificate of authenticity.

A Japanese six-panel folding screen (byōbu, 屏風) painted on a golden background, depicting a pine tree (matsu, 松) with lush green foliage and a powerful trunk, a traditional Japanese symbol of longevity and strength.
The composition is enriched with bamboo (take, 竹) and blooming plum (ume, 梅) at the base of the pine, representing resilience and renewal.
A wooden frame completes and protects the piece. Signed and sealed by the artist in the lower right corner.
The screen can also be easily mounted on a wall or used as a room divider.
Byōbu (屏風), literally “wind protection screens,” are traditional Japanese folding screens originally created to divide spaces and today appreciated above all as striking wall-mounted paintings.
