DOXA Mechanical Pocket Watch with In-House Movement – 1900–1906 – Silver-Plated Case
Turn-of-the-century mechanical pocket watch from DOXA’s early production period, dating to approximately 1900–1906.
Fitted with a flawless, factory-original, bright white enamel dial.
Crisp painted Arabic numeral indexes in classic typography.
Small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock with finely divided scale.
Original, period-correct hand set with uniform patina, in very fine condition.
Brand-new, scratch-free crystal.
Original silver-plated metal case (Metal Argenté), typical of the era.
Light signs of age-related use, however overall in very nice, well-preserved condition.
Richly signed inner dust cover and signed case back, featuring original factory inscriptions and engravings.
The case backs close perfectly, are solid, secure, and precisely fitted.
Measurements: 51 mm exluding crown.
Original, signed early DOXA in-house mechanical movement, featuring a classic
three-quarter plate construction, fine regulator, and Swiss lever escapement.
During this period, DOXA did not yet assign or display specific caliber numbers, therefore the movement does not bear a dedicated caliber designation, which is entirely correct and period-appropriate for early DOXA pocket watches.
The movement operates flawlessly, with stable and highly accurate timekeeping, and is in excellent mechanical condition.
