Description from the seller
A0000000887CR2
Longines wristwatch from the early 1920s, equipped with the prestigious calibre 13.34 manual winding movement. A representative example of the transition period between pocket watches and the first men's wristwatches.
The specimen retains most of its original features, with a uniform and authentic aging that corresponds to its age of about 100 years.
box
33 mm diameter cases (without crown) in silver-colored or nickel metal, in very good structural condition.
Shows signs of superficial wear, especially on the bottom, where the silver exhibits natural aging and some traces of use and handling over time.
Original wire clamps, solid and without recent solder connections.
Sealed and numbered press cap (4026584) with the Longines logo and an engraved winged hourglass symbol on the inside.
Bent corona in good condition, functional, with a soft, rope-like feel.
General assessment: good vintage condition, without structural deviations.
Preserve its original character and historical patina.
Sphere (dial)
White original enamel dial, with black Arabic numerals and a small second hand at six o'clock.
Company 'Longines' printed in its original cursive typography.
Clock hands in cathedral style, bluish due to heat, original, with light, even oxidation.
Watch dial surface with subtle signs of aging and a discreet patina reflecting authenticity, without visible repainting or restorations.
Assessment: very good condition for its age; authentic and not restored.
Movement
Calibre Longines 13.34, serial number 4,029,829 engraved on the plate.
Complete the cleaning movement fully and without missing parts.
All original bridges and screws; well-preserved and visible engravings.
Correct and stable movement after manual winding; accuracy within the expected margins for a watch from this period (not certified).
No signs of active oxidation or visible mechanical damage.
Assessment: very good condition and working order.
It is recommended to use preventive service for frequent use.
Correa
Modern black leather belt in good condition with minimal wear.
Modern metal clasp (not an original Longines).
Conclusion
Authentic and well-preserved specimen of the historic Longines 'Trench Watch' from the 1920s, featuring the iconic calibre 13.34.
Its overall condition is very good for its age, with a working movement, original dial, and complete case. Ideal for both collectors and occasional use, and faithfully represents the transition from military to civilian watchmaking.
