Mivillage - Portret fragment Nr 3

The Dutch artist Ed Mittendorf (Mivillage) worked and exhibited.
Lived in France for many years and now lives again in the Netherlands.

His recent black-and-white portrait fragments are based on his own photographs from his private collection.
Each image is edited into a powerful, graphic composition, and the black section with 'rough' brushstrokes is hand-painted with acrylic paint on a high-quality cotton canvas, stretched on a wooden frame.

The result is a work in which light, silence, and tension converge simply in form, but rich in feeling.

In addition to this series, Mittendorf also creates white reliefs in zero-style and his well-known CrinckleArt inspired by Mondriaan, with more than a thousand works sold worldwide.
