Description from the seller

Magnificent pair of molded pressed glass vases from the renowned Luxval line by the Belgian crystal manufacturer Val Saint Lambert. This iconic Montesquieu model, designed by designers Charles Graffart and René Delvenne, appears in the 1935 Luxval catalog – an innovative Art Deco collection highly prized by collectors.

The elegant flared shape with a festooned edge and a four-legged base is adorned with a raised pattern of vertical lines and stylized scales, creating a striking graphic effect and subtle plays of light. The two contrasting and complementary shades make this pair a particularly rare and harmonious piece:
The large vase in smoky black (deep and mysterious black).
The small vase in Rosaline (delicate and luminous pale pink)

Dimensions and weight
- Large vase (smoked black): maximum diameter 11 cm × height 19.5 cm (weight approximately 550 g)
- Small vase (Rosaline): maximum diameter 7.5 cm × height 14.5 cm (approximately 250 g)

Remarkable condition for pieces from the 1930s: clear and brilliant glass, without chips or restorations. A few micro-bubbles or tiny traces of use (typical of the Luxval molded-pressed production of the era) do not diminish their beauty or authenticity in any way.

An exceptional opportunity to acquire an authentic pair of Montesquieu Luxval in these rare and contrasting hues, symbolizing Belgian Art Deco elegance. Ideal as a decorative duo on a console, a fireplace, or in a vintage glass collection.

The lot will be shipped with extreme care, in reinforced and insured professional packaging.
