Description from the seller
Ricardo Gómez de Cádiz's admiration for Modigliani is evident from the start in this painting, as the elongated features and stylization of the female figure clearly evoke the Italian master's influence; however, Ricardo does not limit himself to the quotation, but transforms that influence into a modern and original work, where the vibrant background in blues dialogues with the sobriety of black in the clothing and with the unexpected presence of a mobile phone on the table, an element that introduces a tension between the timeless and the contemporary; the serene posture of the woman conveys introspection and pause, the gaze adds a lyrical and mysterious nuance, reinforcing the poetic dimension of the piece; overall, the painting becomes a visual meditation on waiting, spirituality and identity in modern times, affirming the artist's own voice through tradition reinterpreted.
Original and unique work painted by hand by Ricardo Gómez de Cádiz.
A completely original creation made with acrylic paint that combines technique, emotion and a deep artistic investigation.
Ricardo Gómez de Cádiz is a graphic designer, comic book artist and Bachelor in Fine Arts. His command of multiple techniques and his constant search for new expressive forms make him a versatile and contemporary artist.
