Side table - Wood - CarloX Work Table

Extraordinary work table, or in slang 'for ladies,' made by a master cabinetmaker, most likely French, from the first half of the 19th century, during the period of the Restoration.
The furniture is veneered in elm burl and decorated with precious floral inlays in amaranth wood, in the spirit of the light-dark chromaticism typical of the Carlo X style.
Poplar and oak bottoms lined inside the drawers with rosewood.
The cartouche on the surface is an excellent example of craftsmanship and decorative impact.
