A limited edition find from Chanel's feminist-themed Spring 2015 runway show, this iconic Classic Double Flap bag is crafted in metallic gold-tone lambskin leather with hand-painted newsprint featuring logos and women's rights phrases throughout the exterior. The Graffiti Newsprint bag is one of the rarest versions of Chanel's Flap bag ever released.
About the Classic Flap:
Few bags can claim that they have grown in popularity (and value) since 1955 -- and the Classic Flap is one of them. Originally launched as the "2.55", the bag featured a rectangular turn-lock closure and a long chain-strap, as Coco Chanel was tired of carrying her purse in her hands. Thanks to the creative genius of Karl Lagerfeld, the bag was updated to the Classic Flap we know, love, and recognize and featured the new logo 'CC' closure instead.
