Description
Presented here is a very rare and highly attractive black-red print from the Venetian printing house of Paganini de Paganinis. The book contains prayer rules for the hermits of the Augustinian Order according to the rules formulated at the Council of Trent. The Council of Trent, regarded by the Roman Catholic Church as the 19th ecumenical council, took place between 1545 and 1563 in three sessions.

Complex, two-column print in black and red ink in Gothic type.
A full-page and nine small woodcuts.
Collation
8 not numbered page; 56 numbered page; 6 (instead of 8) not numbered page; 10 (instead of 11) numbered page.
The H2 and H8 pages as well as page A1 of the addendum are missing. The white final page is also absent.
Game count: #8; A-H8; A8; B4.

Modern parchment binding from the 20th century. Three-sided speckled red edges. Very good condition. Cover slightly stained.
Octavo format: 18 x 11.5 x 1.5 cm.

Very good original condition with only minor signs of use. Wide-margin and mostly clean copy. Carefully cleaned. Rarely slightly browned and stained. The first and last pages with minor edge repairs. Instead of missing pages, white leaves are bound in.
