Description from the seller

Remarkable art edition by René Kieffer, entirely calligraphed and illustrated with stencils by Grand'Aigle, pseudonym of Henri Genevrier, an illustrator and poster artist who collaborated with Le Rire (1911-1917), Le Pèlerin (1914-1940), La Baïonette, and others.

Preserved in a superb binding signed by Kieffer in full blue grained morocco, the covers adorned with a large cold-stamped plaque depicting successive lock motifs and a question mark in the center, the spine decorated with cold-stamped fillets and the title in gilt letters. Gilt head. The endpapers and pastedowns feature a gold floral pattern. Covers preserved.
