Description from the seller

Original French edition provided by Jean Allary of the autobiography of the famous American dancer Isadora Duncan (1877-1927).

Rare headpiece, one of 50 numbered on pure Lafuma fabric, this one bears the number 29.

Art Deco binding signed J. Van West in half-leather with corner decorations. Rounded spine, title and author in gilt letters, geometric (diamond-shaped) mosaic motifs. Gilt head. Covers and spine preserved.

Condition: Slightly worn spine. Clean and fresh interior, margins untrimmed. Very beautiful example.

Isadora Duncan is not only the dancer whose art, life, and death stunned the world. Her autobiography is a delightful, sincere book where humor and passion create a sharp blend. Isadora Duncan reveals everything about her artistic, moral, intellectual, and physical passions. On September 14, 1927, her long scarf got caught in the wheel of her car on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, strangling her brutally.
