Strand of selected unusual and hard to find ancient black and white agate beads. Notice the intricate shape of most of the beads. Sourced in Western Africa.

Beads of this kind coming from Djenné excavations are dated from the 9 to 13th Centuries. Most of them were made in India and traded to Western Africa and Asia by Islamic merchants. Some may be African-made.

Worn. Good condition.
Collectible and useful as jewelry supplies.

Smallest bead measures: 9,6 x 7 mm.
Largest bead measures: 16,5 x 16,6 mm.
Strand length (bead to bead): 42 cm. / 16,5 inches.
