Wilhelm Thelen (1917 in Oberhausen - 1985 in Düsseldorf) was an artist of the Düsseldorf school and a student under Schmurr, Heuser, and Strahn. Later, he worked as a freelance artist in Düsseldorf and was a member of the 'Künstlergruppe 1949'. (Source: Kunst- und Auktionshaus Peter Karbstein)
