Description from the seller
Oil painting. Unique piece. Handmade canvas, oil and acrylic paint. Delivered on stretcher. 60x80 cm.
In this scene, a young man in a swimsuit stands at the edge of a swimming pool, head bowed, facing the silent echo of his reflection and the clouds resting upon it. The moment is suspended between momentum and hesitation, between the desire to dive and the fear of the abyss. The twilight light accentuates this tension, transforming a mundane gesture into a metaphor for decision and waiting.
The composition evokes a timeless, cinematic America, where each character seems absorbed in their thoughts rather than in others. The parked car, subtle neon lights, and cool palette reinforce this sense of emotional distance and an unfinished story.
Between observation and introspection, this work invites the viewer to imagine what precedes or follows this scene, transforming a mundane moment into a fragment of poetic narration.
The artist Le Yack's style is a bold blend of pop art, street art, and classical and modern painting. He uses his graphic tablet to create unique visual worlds by merging various digital resources and exploring a range of artistic techniques (Photoshop software, drawing on Procreate, and different royalty-free image resources and AI).
