Description from the seller

Massive silver thumb ring with vermeil plating, engraved with the arms of the Grenier de Cauville and d' Ernemont families, topped with a Marquis crown.

This family, now extinct, originating from Normandy, formed two branches:

The Cauville branch was ennobled in 1655 and maintained noble status on January 4, 1667, in Rouen.
The Ernemont branch was ennobled in 1768.

She is the only noble Grenier family not related to the other homonymous noble families.

Arms: Gules with three gold wheat ears arranged vertically in a bundle, with a gold chief charged with three azure stars.

Seal dimensions: 3 x 2.5 cm, stamped silver on the ring, traces of gilding on the coat of arms.
