Unique modernist silver necklace, 52 cm long and weighing 82.5 g, a gallery/studio piece from the Netherlands circa 1960–1980, tested to 925, without a laboratory report and without a brand, in good vintage condition with light signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Unique modernist silver design necklace – gallery or studio work – circa 1960–1980
Powerful and sculptural modernist design necklace, executed in silver and composed of a rhythmic arrangement of geometric links. The design combines round circular elements with angular, six-sided connecting forms and has a pronounced architectural appearance.
This necklace is a typical example of gallery or studio work from the second half of the 20th century, where form, balance, and material are central. Such jewelry was often produced in small editions or as unique designs by independent goldsmiths and offered through galleries or design shops, which is why signatures or certification marks are often absent.
The heavy weight and the pure formal language convincingly place this piece within the tradition of Scandinavian / Dutch modernism.
