Interesting biography of Amédée Lamy, known as Commander Lamy (1858-1900), a French explorer officer who died in combat on April 22, 1900, during the Battle of Kousséri in Cameroon, based on his correspondence and memoirs.
Divided into three parts. 1: the beginnings (Tunisia, Tonkin) - 2: the African idea (the Sahara, the Congo, Madagascar, the Transvaal, Cape Town) - 3: the Saharan mission.
