Description from the seller
An elegant pair of antique table lamps, featuring a classic design and rich ornamentation, ideal for adding a touch of distinction and sophistication to any interior.
-Origin: France.
-Style: Due to its shape and rich ornamentation, the design evokes influences of the Napoleon III or Eclectic style, characterized by the mixture of decorative elements and a profusion of details.
-Period: Late 19th to early 20th century, c. 1890-1920
-Material and Technique:
*Lamp Body: Bronze and Brass.
*Finish: Silvered with its original patina, which gives them a subtle and elegant sheen, often achieved through plating or electroplating.
*Globes: Frosted glass with elegant acid-etched floral decoration (a difference in style and period (probably first half of 20th century) is observed in the etching design, which is common in pieces that have been adapted or changed over time).
-Ornamentation: It features a body shaped like an urn or amphora on an openwork base (tray-like, reminiscent of kerosene lamps), profusely decorated with vegetal motifs, scrolls, and volutes, characteristic of the taste for detail and luxury of the period.
-Measurements: Total Height: 45 cm.
*Diameter of the Glass Globe: 16 cm.
*Measurements of the Base: 20 cm. (more detailed measurements in the photos)
Condition and Considerations
-Conditions: The lamps are in very good overall condition for their age, exhibiting an attractive patina and minimal wear consistent with age on the silver finish.
*Electrical functionality has not been tested.
Don't miss this opportunity to acquire this magnificent pair of French lamps, perfect for collectors or for adding a touch of historical charm to any living room or bedroom!
