Antique standing crucifix made of solid metal (brass alloy), early 20th century.
Beautiful and impressive standing crucifix executed in heavy cast metal, presumably bronze or brass, with a richly decorated base and a finely detailed corpus Christi. The cross rests on a solid, bell-shaped base with relief decorations and four supports, providing excellent stability.
The Christ figure is finely modeled with attention to anatomy and expression, typical of devotional objects from the early 20th century. The natural patina and light signs of use confirm the authenticity and age of the piece and contribute to its character and appearance.
