A very rare lot of two beautiful books on the Legends of Arthur and his Knights....
- A very rare, beautiful, and interesting book written and illustrated by Howard Pyle... "The Story of the Champions of the Round Table" 1910 edition in good to very good condition. The exterior features original cloth that is slightly darkened, especially on the spine, with wear at the head and tail of the spine. The interior is generally clean and complete, with a few pages repaired with blank tape on the margins and a tiny corner missing from two pages. The illustrations are very good.
Scarce. Uncommon.
- A very rare and beautiful book graced by the wonderful colour illustrations by Thomas Mackenzie... Eight colour plates in art nouveau style. Tales of the Knights of the Round Table, featuring the legends of Merlin, Excalibur, Morgan Le Fay, Lancelot, Galahad, and Guinevere. Book in very good condition. Inside, light stains but overall clean, externally original cloth with light wear around edges and corners, shelf wear, wear at the head of the spine.
