Elegant Austro-Hungarian silver cigarette case manufactured by Georg Adam Scheid (GAS), Vienna, one of the most important Central European silver producers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The case is made of 900/1000 silver and features a refined engine-turned “cracked ice” guilloché exterior, typical of Viennese production of the period. The interior lid is finely hand-engraved with a crowned monogram, indicating private commission or ownership.

-GAS maker’s mark (Georg Adam Scheid, Vienna)
-900 silver fineness
-Austro-Hungarian assay control mark
-German crown & crescent moon, confirming legal import and sale in the German Empire
