The New Family Herbal: Comprising A Description, And The Medical Virtues Of British And Foreign Plants, Founded On The Works Of Eminent Modern English And American Writers On The Medical Properties Of Herbs To Which Is Added The Botanical Family Physician
Published by William Nicholson. Undated ca 1860.
A very reasonable copy detailing the description, production and used from hundred of plants.
With the botanic family at the rear covering a wide range of treatments, dietary recommendations and lifestyle advice.
Condition:
Complete with 24 pages comprising around 120 individual illustrations.
Hardback in maroon cloth with faded gilt titling, scuffed, marked and worn as shown.
Split to the cloth on the lower front hinge.
Overall condition is in fairly condition, clean inside, age toned with some light scattered foxing throughout.
