Each volume includes a preface, and several white and black maps and genealogical tables. Published by Cassell and Company Ltd, London, 1956 - 1958. Publisher’s original maroon cloth boards. Gilt lettering to spine.

Volume I - The Birth of Britain (1957)

Volume II - The New World (1956)

Volume III - The Age of Revolution (1957)

Internally; in excellent condition. Old inscriptions with neat ink on first blank front free endpaper pages of first three volumes. Pages are clean. Inner hinges are very good. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. Text body, and illustrations are clean and bright (Scarce Set and Good Gift Idea!) (Please see pictures).
