AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

An exceptional work in oil on strong pressed cardboard by the Italian artist Nicolas De Corsi, born in Odessa in 1882 and died in 1956 in Torre del Greco, where he lived. It depicts a splendid and immense sea scene, with the island of Capri fading in the distance, and two fishermen in the foreground on a rocky pinnacle. Carefully examined under a Wood's lamp, there is no evidence of any foreign color. The work is entirely original and contemporary, as is the signature at the bottom left. Measures 36-50 cm. It is in excellent condition and comes from the private collection of Dr. Giovambattista Rivellini di Vitulano. The splendid carved frame is contemporary and in perfect condition, representing an added value of approximately one thousand euros. A certificate of authenticity and provenance with a photograph stamped and signed by an established expert is included. Shipping includes a special padded wooden box to ensure its safety. It will be shipped insured and at an appropriate cost for packaging. Free collection possible without costs.
