Magnificent refined floral brooch decorated by hand by Swoboda (USA), unsigned.
Made in the 1950s/1960s.
The flowers are made of natural coral in 'Peau d'ange' and natural jade leaves.
The metal is plated with 24-carat gold.
Dimensions: 6cm x 4.5cm, 10.33g.
Despite its age, the brooch is in very good condition.
This series was already very expensive in the 1950s and 1960s. Many of its jewelry pieces were not always signed.
Edward Swoboda, a talented jewelry designer, founded Swoboda Inc. in 1956 in Los Angeles.
Their sumptuous jewelry made of polished gemstones, pearls, and coral was unprecedented in costume jewelry of the time.
He received orders from Nancy Reagan and many Hollywood stars.
A large part of its jewelry is rare and highly sought after by collectors.
