Aureole is a compact yet powerful work that reads like a phenomenon rather than an image - an apparition of heat, light, and pressure suspended in darkness.

Created on wood (65 x 95 cm) using pigment and mixed media, the surface has a physical, almost atmospheric depth. The bright core blooms outward through layers of glowing yellow, orange, and red, while smoky arcs and circular brush traces wrap the form like a moving field. Up close, the work reveals its construction: powdered pigment, subtle scuffs, and shifting densities that catch and release light depending on the angle - so the painting feels alive in a room, not flat on a wall.

The title “Aureole” refers to the halo-like radiance that surrounds a body of intense energy. Here, it becomes a metaphor for presence - what we sense before we can explain it. The piece carries a quiet tension between attraction and threat: warm, seductive luminosity held inside a dark perimeter, as if the viewer is standing at the edge of something elemental.

Unlike canvas works, this piece is created on a solid wooden panel and therefore will not be shipped rolled.
