Description from the seller

Victorian silver document holder with religious engraving – England, 19th century
Rare and elegant Victorian document holder with a finely engraved cover in sterling silver. The depicted scene shows a pastoral image with a religious figure—probably the Good Samaritan—surrounded by Baroque decorative elements, with a tower and a windmill in the background.

Made in England in the 19th century (presumably between 1880 and 1900), as indicated by the visible stamps at the bottom. The hallmarks certify the authenticity of English sterling silver and the work of a silversmith of the period.

Internally lined with leather and fabric, with multiple compartments for cards or documents.

Conditions: in good vintage condition, with signs of oxidation and wear consistent with age.
Dimensions: 11 x 8 cm
Weight: 0.69 gr

A refined collectible piece, ideal for enthusiasts of antique silverware, English antiques, or vintage religious objects.
