Fern is the pseudonym used by sculptor Clavo and sculptor Carmen Lop when they work together.
Both sculptors work with metal forging, primarily with iron and steel.
The techniques they mainly use are forging and welding.
Their styles range from figurative to abstract, passing through pop art.
They place great importance on technique and craftsmanship to create a good sculpture.
They have participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions, mainly national.
They received separate awards, including the 'Urban Sculpture Award of the City of Ávila' in 2006 and the 'Memorial to the Victims of Machista Violence' in Zaragoza in 2016.
They admire Spanish sculptors such as Martín Chirino, Jorge Oteiza, Eduardo Chillida, and Julio González.
