Fine antique fire-gilt bronze head of a Bodhisattva.

Height 4 cm, weight 96 g.
Tibet, 14th–15th century style.


The calm meditative face with downcast eyes is framed by elongated earlobes and a five-pointed tiara inlaid with turquoise and semi-precious stones in two colours.

The third eye is depicted on the forehead. Rich gilt remains with beautiful dark patina.


A rare and exquisite small devotional sculpture, highly prized by collectors of early Tibetan Buddhist bronze art.
