John Lightfoot's Opera Omnia, in Latin, first edition from 1686, with vellum binding, measuring 32 cm by 20 cm and comprising 803 pages.
Description from the seller
Joannis Lightfooti, SS. TH. P. of the College of Catherine at Cambridge, Precentor, Canon of Ely, Complete Works: Comprised in two volumes, the syllabus of which is displayed on the last page after the author's life - printed by Regneri Leers, Rotterdam, 1686 - part 1 - [88] 803 [52] pages - parchment binding.
Alright. A few spots of wear. The band is stained. There are holes in both covers, with loss at the bottom corner of the front cover. A stamp on the title and last text page. The interior is discolored/foxed—especially in the top margin of several pages—here and there a spot, minimal moisture spots (a few mm to a cm) in the top margin of several pages. Some creases/creases. The covers are coming loose at the top, the parchment inside the top edge of the front cover is slightly loose. Between page 548 (the last page of the chapter) and page 553, there is a leaf (half-title—counts as 551/552)—as issued—so no page is missing. A few printing errors. Some creases. A tear, 0.5 to 1 cm, in the margin of three pages.
