Very beautiful edition for bibliophiles of the novel by Françoise Xenakis, 'Elle lui dirait dans l'île,' illustrated with 13 original etchings and drypoint engravings, including 7 excerpts from Xenakis's scores and 6 engravings by Claude Groschène.
The print of the engravings was made by Claude Groschène and Alain Poncelet. The plates with color highlights were watercolored by Christiane Groschène.
Limited unique print run of 180 copies, of which 140 are named, all on Arches vellum. This one (No. 111) for Maurice Schlogel.

In 1953, she married Iannis Xenakis (1922-2001), a Greek-born composer, architect, and engineer.
Her first novel, 'Le Petit Caillou', was published in 1963. She won the Prix des libraires in 1993 for her book 'Attends-moi', published by Grasset.
