Lorenzo Favaron, Ascesa (Obelisk bronze version), limited edition no. 12 of the series, 35 x 10 x 10 cm, mixed media with mineral-based mortar and varnish, hand-signed, Italy, in excellent condition, 2025.
Description from the seller
Artwork by artist Lorenzo Favaron titled Ascesa, 'bronze obelisk version,' number 12, 35x10x10 cm, mixed media, mineral-based mortar and paint, edition 2024.
Based on the nature of the technique I use to produce the works, each element of the series should be considered a one-of-a-kind piece.
"Ascent" is the first in a series of artifacts. It consists of a pyramidal prism, interrupted three-quarters by a hollow portion. I consider this work a revenge of the ego over the vicissitudes of existence, but also an innate yearning for the heights. Toward a metamorphosis of form into pure energy. Matter becoming spirit. The hollow portion that interrupts the form's progress toward the summit is characterized by a collection of parts that, unused, remain imprinted as empty traces of past experiences.
